JUDGES WERE TRAINED VIA VIDEO CONFERENCING


Particular attention is paid to the training of judges within the framework of reforms to improve the efficiency of justice in our country, for this purpose, regular trainings on various topical issues, including legislative innovations, are organized. A series of trainings are being continued for thorough study and proper application of substantive changes made in the Civil Procedure Code with the law adopted on December 28, 2018 by legislative initiative of the Head of State Mr. Ilham Aliyev.

The next such training was held in Shirvan Regional Justice Department with the participation of judges of Shirvan and Ganja Appeal Courts and the courts of first instance that are in their jurisdiction through a videoconference.

Judges of Supreme Court, Baku Appellate and Yasamal District Courts, as well as officials of the Ministry of Justice, trainers from the Justice Academy attended as a trainer at a video conference.

Judge Khagani Mammadov, who spoke at the opening of the training, said that the innovations in the legislation are aimed at improvement of judicial activity, electronic legal proceedings, provision of transparency and efficiency, as well as enhancing citizens access to courts, and emphasized the importance of the training.

Then trainers - Abiddin Huseynov, judge of the Baku Court of Appeal, trainer of Justice Academy, Ramin Gurbanov, head of the working group on creation of the "electronic court" information system, judge of Yasamal District Court, Aghakarim Samadzadeh, chief of the Department of Information and Communication Technologies of the Ministry, gave brief information about the essence of the amendments to the Civil Procedure Code, including the conduct of court proceedings on civil cases and economic disputes, at this time, immediately delivery of court documents to the process participants via the Electronic Judicial information system (e-mail, SMS, electronic cabinet, etc.), payment of state duties through simplified electronic payment system.

It was noted that by new legislation ensuring the interests of the citizens, simplified judicial procedures for reviewing some categories of cases and making decisions more quickly in order to accelerate justice, as well as electronization of judicial statistics and other important innovations have been stipulated.

During the training, the judges duties on the innovations in the legislation, including practical application of issues in practice were discussed, questions of participants were answered in detail.
